Braves Village Community is a 150-million-dollar development project. This project constitutes purchase and development of raw land creating an economic renaissance for Lorman, MS and adjacent communities. It is a groundbreaking and innovative 24/7 mixed-use development that features a wide range of amenities and facilities designed to provide residents with a comfortable, sustainable, and dynamic lifestyle.
Braves Village
The property is approximately 40 acres of developable land. Once completed this development will be home to 3,000 students and 300 faculty and alumni private residences.
Development Vision
Divisions of land uses have been kept to a minimum to help create a livable pedestrian environment. The primary area of commercial space on the site will be located on the “back gate end” of Alcorn State Univeristy. The a portion of the site will be a mini golf course and residential community and student village within walking distance of adjacent retail shopping, entertainment, recreation and classes. The mid-rise residential community will be flanked by the retail village and Hotel to the east and west and complementary shops (coffee houses, retail and Grocery store, Beauty, and Barber shops, etc.) will dot the streetscape. The northern portion of the site is reserved primarily for a golfing /residential communities and research village affiliated with the state college and new technology startups.


Proposed Property Use
Develop a smart community with 21st century infrastructure. This development will include smart grid infrastructure for water, power, sewage, and gigabit broad band internet. The development team will also develop construction projects on site using green building technology that boost efficiency of power and water consumption.
A key component in the Braves Village development is walkability and a 24/7 living aspect with autonomous public transit. In conjunction with the hotel, retail area and the office space, this development will include a moderate density of class A office space flanked with green space as daily public attraction. Hotel uses will be in proximity to office space. The office, hotel and retail uses will share parking, where possible and will be served by autonomous transit, this configuration will encourage walking for short trips.

Potential Economic Impact
Natchez Trace Parkway
Braves Village will be located with 6 miles of the famous Natchez Trace Parkway, of which the National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 5,891,315 visitors to the Natchez Trace Parkway in 2016 spent $142 million in the communities near the Parkway, which supported 1,907 jobs in the local areas.
Braves Village Development after completion will be a direct benefactor from the continued growth of Natchez Trace Tourism. Natchez, Ms. Daily Journal Newspaper in as recent as 2019 reported 154 million in revenue generated by businesses on or near the Natchez Trace Parkway.
